Shaped Hair Forms
Acorn Earrings, 1840-1860 (01.382.a-b)
These earrings are good examples of simply designed, more affordable hair jewelry. These acorns are formed by tightly and loosely weaving hair into an acorn shape, unlike the acorn brooch that is tightly woven all over. The acorns are attached to simple gold hoops with half-dome details.
