77 Warner StreetJohn Eyre, a mechanic with the Northampton Cutlery Co., bought an acre of land at the corner of Hinckley and Warner Streets for $400.00 in 1864. His house was built shortly thereafter on Hinckley Street between 1873 and 1884, a second house was built on the lot, fronting on Warner Street. Mr. Eyre sold this house to his son Henry in 1887 for $950. Henry Eyre was employed by the Clement Cutlery Co. The house is one and half stories in height, L-shaped, with a half-porch on the eastern end on the facade. The porch has simple square posts. |
