Historic Northampton received grants from the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts and from the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Project to review its internal operations and to conduct a community survey to determine the feasibility of launching a capital campaign.
These grants will support a development audit which will analyze Historic Northampton's current donor base and methods of fund raising, marketing and foundation and corporate relations. Also funded is a strategic business plan which will provide market analysis, usage projections and assessment of costs for generating additional revenue streams.
We are investing heavily in our future - a future that will place growing demands on our resources. As we increase our commitment to the future, we seek increased levels of support from our constituencies.
As an important step in planning for the future, these funds will underwrite Historic Northampton's first professionally conducted feasibility study to access community support for a projected capital campaign.
