Main Street-North

This view of Main Street includes the County Courthouse, First Church and victorian commercial buildings. The print below shows the same scene in 1832. At right is the old town hall (1814)left of that is the old county courthouse (1823)The church, errected in 1812 on the site of earlier meeting houses, was replaced in 1876 by the present structure. These buildings were all constructed by Isaac Damon.
