John Alexander, d. 1733, and Sarah Alexander, d. 1732

Mr. John Alexander and Mrs. Sarah Alexander: Here Lies the Body of Mr. John Alexander who died December the 31st 1733 in y 89th year of his age. Here Lies the Body of Mrs. Sara (h) Alexander who died November the 3rd 1732, In y 83rd year of her age. This stones appear to have been cut by the same cutter as Ebenezer Parsons, having the same death's head with the halo, and boarder on the side. These however appear to be more ominous, and less clean cut than Parsons' stone which was done a decade later. What is distinctive about this tombstone is that it is a double stone, meaning it is one stone serving for two people. Another distinction is that the stones could be separated-most double stones share the same wording, such as in Joel and Mary Lyman's stone.
