Account Books and Record BooksThis collection includes account and record books from the twentieth century, the bulk dating before 1940. These books were maintained by local businesses and individuals. The books of Hebert Bros. Coal Co., Child's Park, Mt. Holyoke Hotel, as well as those of individuals are featured in this collection. Bernier, Mrs. Ora M. Clubs and OrganizationsThis small collection holds the papers of Hampshire Hills Handicrafts, Inc., dating 1943-1975. Of note are letters from former First Lady Grace Coolidge. Adams, Florence LettersThere are 84 documents in the 20th Century Letters Collection. Dates range from 1900-1982. The bulk of these letters were to or from Amelia Clark and Clara Hudson. There are item-level desriptions of all documents in this collection. Items/Persons included:
Adams, Frederick Mayor Andre PapersThis collection, dating from 1927-1929, includes vote tallies, election expenditures, victory statements, and a number of letters to and from Mayor Andre. Also included are the 1910 school census and guest registers from the Mt. Holyoke Summit House. Items/Persons included: Coolidge, Calvin Northampton State HospitalThe Northampton State Hospital Collection includes admissions and discharge books, annual hospital reports, doctor's notes, charts, and several journals dating from 1856-1989. There is also a small library of books on the hospital, a notable amount of ephemera, and over 400 photographs of the hospital grounds, patients, and staff. Items/Persons included: Admissions Book Military PapersThis collection consists of letters written to John J. Dalton, a veteran of World War I (???). There are also a few other documents pertaining to military service by Northampton residents. Dates range from 1904-1944. The bulk of the collection pertains to pre-World War II involvement. Rose of the First Congregational Church, written in 1900 and 1903.
